Vine & GrainCabinet Refinishing
Our Warranty

A finish you can
hold us to.

California sets a one-year baseline for the fit and finish of cabinets and paint finishes. We don't think one year is enough for something you touch every day — so every job comes with a written 3-year or 5-year warranty.

Beyond the baseline

Most finish work is backed for a single year. Ours isn't.

California's recognized standard for the “fit and finish” of cabinets and paint finishes is just one year (Civil Code § 900). Our written, express limited warranty covers your refinished cabinetry and furniture for a full three years — or five years on our premium finish system — far beyond that one-year benchmark.

Standard finish

3-Year Craftsman Warranty

For three full years we warranty our workmanship and finish against peeling, flaking, blistering, cracking, and adhesion failure under normal household use. If the finish we applied fails because of how it was prepped or sprayed, we come back and make it right — labor and materials included, at no cost to you.

Best for standard kitchens, baths, and built-ins.

Premium finish system

5-Year Heirloom Warranty

Our premium acrylic-urethane finish with polyurethane clear coats is built to take more — more cleaning, more daily wear, more years. We back it for five full years against the same failures, with a harder-wearing coating engineered for high-traffic kitchens and heirloom furniture meant to last.

Best for high-use kitchens, fine furniture, and maximum longevity.

Both tiers cover the same failures and share the same terms — the only difference is the finish grade and the length of coverage. Your warranty is issued to you in writing on completion.

In plain terms

What's covered — and what isn't

Covered

  • Peeling of the finish we applied
  • Flaking & chipping (not from impact)
  • Blistering or bubbling of the coating
  • Cracking of the finish film
  • Adhesion failure — coating lifting from properly prepped surfaces
  • Excessive yellowing of the coating beyond normal aging
  • Labor and materials to correct any covered defect

Not covered

  • Normal wear & tear, scuffs, daily-use marks
  • Abuse, impact, dropped objects, gouges
  • Water damage — leaks, standing water, moisture intrusion
  • Dishwasher-front & garbage pull-out door panels — constant moisture, heat & grease
  • Abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, scouring pads
  • Wood movement, settling, or substrate/structural changes
  • Pre-existing conditions or prior finishes not applied by us
  • UV / sunlight color fade & natural aging
  • Customer-supplied materials, or work altered by others
