Done right

Why painted cabinets fail, and ours don't.

Most painted cabinets fail at the prep: grease left on the doors, glossy surfaces not sanded, no bonding primer, and soft wall paint brushed on top. Within a year it chips around the handles.

We clean and degrease, sand, fill and repair, prime with a bonding primer, and spray cabinet-grade acrylic urethane. The result is smooth, hard and easy to clean.

Questions

Frequently asked

Should kitchen cabinets be sprayed or brushed?

Sprayed. A sprayed finish is smoother and harder, with no brush marks, and it lasts far longer on surfaces you touch every day.

What paint is best for kitchen cabinets?

A cabinet-grade acrylic urethane over a bonding primer. Standard wall paint stays soft and chips on cabinet doors.

Can you paint cabinets a two-tone color?

Yes. Painted uppers with a contrasting island or lowers is one of the most requested looks.

Refinished, not replaced.
